I put together a short video about the BMO Vancouver Half Marathon where I was 5th overall in 1:07:22. Even though this was around 2 minutes slower than my personal best, I'm happy with a strong effort only 4 weeks after a marathon!
Since the marathon in Rotterdam I haven't really felt like I've been the same person. I guess the marathon can take some of the metaphorical spark out of you. Coming into Vancouver most people said it's too close to the marathon to have a good race, but this was something I felt like I needed.
The race organization itself was incredible. Big thanks to the whole crew at Run Vancouver and especially all the people involved in making the experience so fun. (Thanks Lynn, Mary, Cheryl, Ferg, Arlene, Jim, Frank, and Margaret)!
Moving forward, I'll be focusing on shorter distance training, with two 10k races (one road and one track) as my next two events!
